A New Look for Clear Lake Country
Inspired by Riding Mountain National Park's rich heritage dating back to the 1930s, we developed a visual identity for Clear Lake Country that perfectly captured the region's spirit.
Inspired by Riding Mountain National Park's rich heritage dating back to the 1930s, we developed a visual identity for Clear Lake Country that perfectly captured the region's spirit.
Our goal: create a visual identity that captures the spirit of the region, inspired by the rich heritage and visual history of Riding Mountain National Park from the 1930s.
Our design process began by diving into the park's history. We studied vintage brochures, maps, and newspaper articles from the park's early days.
These historical elements became the foundation of our creative strategy, influencing everything from logo design to typography and colour schemes.
We created 3 visual directions (called moodboards) to set the tone and guide our visual narrative. These directions helped us develop a brand identity that felt both authentic and engaging to the client.
We blended historical charm with a modern twist, presenting Clear Lake Country with logo variations, a fresh colour palette, and a versatile typography system suitable for digital platforms and physical signage.
The final brand identity celebrated the natural beauty and historical significance of Clear Lake Country.
The tagline "Let the Wild In," crafted by UpHouse Inc., summed up the brand perfectly, inviting visitors to explore and connect with nature.
The new brand identity is strong and inspiring, highlighting the area's natural beauty and rich history.
The new branding was rolled out across various platforms, receiving positive feedback from stakeholders and visitors and reinvigorating tourism interest in the region.
